Not bad form @Sphagnum only one I disagree on is Magic Circle. I just hate Ebor form and I’ll stick to my personal rule of thumb. It’s not the worst though just can’t have it at the price.

Agreed on Youngstar it’s the best Australian chance. Only problem is Williams on board!

Muntahaa won the ebor. Magic circle ran 5th in it last year but has since changed trainers and is undefeated in the new stable.

Watch magic circles last two runs. Sat midfield and wide first up of 3700 and destroyed them. Then led over 3200 and destroyed them. Can stay all day and has tactical speed and gears.

My money is on Finche.

Last thing I want to see tomorrow is that Koukash dick in a g string.

And talk about 20+ - 1 winners in the last......Mintha at Flemington tomorrow. Tony McEvoy and Luke Currie in hot form.

Agree with Spags Magic Circle is my top pick.

Best long shot is Finche IMO.

Both those two I’m leaving out. Happy to be wrong and those two can win without my money. Can’t back every horse. Have probably 6-7 ahead. Have to somewhat trust my own judgement in a race like this.

This is a race with 100 different formlines. If the money goes late on Magic Circle I might have a saver but I doubt it.

Reminds me of Big Orange who started gross unders the second time. Just feel there are better Europeans.

I’m on Marmelo, I left it out of my numbers last year just on a hunch and it paid off by fluke but I really like it this year.

Form this prep heading into this is great. First up in the CC last year it ran enormous and was just ridden upside down in the Melbourne Cup hopefully they have learnt from that.

Hughey sticks and from the good gate I think they camp just better than midfield and will be in the finish somewhere.

I’m potting all the favourites because I have huge testicles

Chucking in Sound Check, Youngstar, Cliffsofmoher, Prince of Arran and Nakeeta THATS RIGHT FKN NAKEETA in my tris/first 4s and if I can snag something I’ll be filthy sexy rich.

'I chucked $38.70 on that at 10,000/1 two years ago. It's just a half a dozen happy meals, I'm not going to miss it. I don't get them often, just every single big race at every carnival in the world. About time I fluked another one.'

Imagine how much it's gonna suck reading that kind of drivel at 4 o'clock tomorrow...

The best part about this time of the year is the numpties who for 11 months and 3 weeks of the year couldn't care less about animal rights, you mention Melbourne Cup.. oh yeah, they come out in flocks.

It makes me sick, these halfwits can barely count to 2.

Big Orange is an absolute weapon, do you even watch racing? Have you seen this thing race in the UK? In a battle of the last furlong, if he's leading, he's winning.

There may be better but none tougher.

Regarding the great race, it's always hard, I did like the fav but then they produced the barrier draw and my mind changed swiftly. I like Avilius, I think the UK stayers will make it a dour slog by taking off at the 400, can't see it being a sit and sprint, you'll have to be rock hard to win it and that he is.

Just can't have Avilius on its last 2 runs...not convincing in the Cummings against a second-stringer, & didn't really show anything late in the Cox. Long preparation not so great a guide with so many UK raiders now. Trip big query too.
To me Muntahaa, Yucatan etc are strong chances as they can sit wide with cover & sprint home. Magic circle worries me but can't have at the price its heading towards.
Cross Counter cant be left out of multiples either based on weight alone.
Anyway, its a total headf*ck if you look at the form too much...
