Adam Macdougall - signed for 2007, with incentive-based option for 2008
Luke Quigley - Re-signed for 2007
Matt Gidley - Released from current contract to play with St Helens.

They'd better hurry up and secure Tolar :fist:

Nothing new or exciting, but the rumours of Walker joining Newcastle are still circulating.

STORM winger Chris Walker is set to join the exodus of players from Melbourne. Walker has had limited opportunities in the top grade and is understood to have held talks with Newcastle and Wests Tigers.

I'm still hoping that we sign him for a year or two, and he will add a bit of much needed pace to our backline next year. Possibly:

1. Thaiday
2. Walker
3. Tighe
4. MacDougall
5. Carmont

I think the chances of Chris Walker of coming to the Knights is massive imo. The Tigers knocked this guy back a yr or so ago.. wasnt worth their time and with Pat Richards returning possibly .... they wont be able to fit him in their backline.

1. Thaiday
2. Dallas
3. Walker
4. MacDougall
5. Tighe

That looks to be a pretty good backline ... Walker may shift to centre and Tighe may be on the wing... Walker killed it at centre with brisbane ... may be worth a go.

I honestly believe Walker will be a great asset if we nab him.... Under smith, i think walker will shine.... and i know there arent many better coaches at m than Bellamy... so why would he be ne diff under Smith.... fact is Walker couldnt really get a start in that backline... they are all stars and Walker really never had a hope of securing a spot there.

Walker's combinations with the playmakers from his previous club have been dynamo..

Lockyer & Walker - Broncos.... You knew everytime if we played this mob that the middle of the ruck would have to be tight as walker would be lurking .. always trailing Lockyer waiting for that inside ball.... Always a worry for oppositions...

Fittler & Walker - Roosters... Similar, when he had the chance.

Johns & Walker - Knights? ...

I know most are objective of him coming here but if he plays to his potential.. we have a gun in our backline that can shred any opposition

Damn right...

I comsider him our highest priority at the moment.

Knowing management, they will delay it thinking he is an easy signing and he will be taken by another club who was willing to actually hold serious discussions with him.

If we did sign walker or Dallas (it will only be one of them)

1. Thiaday
2. Walker/Dallas
3. MacDougall
4. Tighe
5. Salkeld

why will it be only one? both wouldnt be exactly a fortune to sign

Dallas wouldnt want much
Walker maybe a lil more but not too much

And if we are looking at Salkeld in the top grade next year... im gonna seriously cry

Tolar appears to be on the outer at the club doesn't he? His form before injury was faultless, yet we haven't heard a thing about him since.
