Doesn't mean he will impact on French playing NRL. French will debut before Gardner, if there is a decision between which one will play NRL.

I don't think either will play first grade in 2016. But I suspect Gardner will play more NSW Cup. 2017 is a different story - French is the only fullback currently contracted, unless you also include Gutherson.

But Gordon, Moss, Gardner - all off contract next year.

Not a lot of guys signed for 2017 yet, so every reason for them to play their best to secure contracts (with us or elsewhere)

It'll be a good "top 25" this season - with a fair amount of depth outside it. Can't see Gardner or French getting a go in NRL this year unless we have a lot of backline injuries.

Yeah Arthur said that atm Gutherson would be the starting right centre, that may change if we were to get another player and even if we were to get Hiku I imagine we'd move Morgan to NSW cup and have either Hiku or Gordon on the wing.

Yeah, with Hiku yet to be confirmed/denied I just didn't know exactly where to slot Gutherson in. Morgan or Taka would be the obvious candidates to miss out - depends a lot on whether Taka is fully fit or not.

Which actually works quite well as Gordon is naturally a right sided winger.

Gutherson is far too talented to not be a starting centre. Just depends how he comes back from injury and that will be shown in the trials. If we get Hiku, Taka could well miss out for mine. It'll be interesting to see what happens.
For the first time in years we have real talent right throughout our squad and plenty of quality depth. We should be a top 8 side in 2016 if not a top 4 side. First time I've been able to think that in a long time.

That lineup looks good - all just depends on the injury/recovery situation.

Hopefully we don't have another Champion on our hands (in Taka or Gutherson), but that's the risk we take.
