Toutai has another year
Told me at NSW Cup GF yesterday
I suspected as much when he wasn't included in any goodbye tribute. He was also originally re-signed until the end of 2017 and then re-announced a few weeks later as having extended until the end of 2016, which was sus. Must've been a typo.

he was actually a match day assistant coach to Caylo from the time caylo took over so maybe that's where his future lies.

He's that good he doesn't have a club next year.
Like I said, season ending injury becomes a career ending injury very easily if you're a backup.

We have Fogarty (right) and Dargan (left) as our backups for next year. Kelly will be 27 in a couple of weeks. He would know he'll never be more than a backup and he's better off preparing for his future now than earning minimum salary for another three years and then trying to transition.

Anyway most backups are still unsigned (or unannounced) at this time of the year. He would have no trouble scoring a second tier contract next year if he wanted one. He has 47 games worth of experience.

Yep he awesome, what are you going to do next year when your two favs Kelly and Morgan are no longer playing in the NRL??? Suppose you still have Toutai to get excited about.....

He was better than most backup halves.

He was and to many people on here do not understand the meaning of depth. King will potentially be in the same boat in a year or two. And so will Cornish.
A time will come when they have to think if its better to play for 80k a year or get a job and not have their bodies battered and suffer with injuries when older.

The times Kelly ran our team was behind a ordinary team. And the first game this year it was on his own -No Norman or Foran.

It may of been a different story for Kelly had he become the guy playing with Norman as a supporting role. Who knows it may of suited him. Unlucky for him thou the cookie didn't crumble that way.

Kelly played second fiddle to Norman 10 times last year and was still very poor. I think it was more a case of first grade didn't suit him.

I think you should change the 2016 list to be just those who remain uncontracted beyond 2016. Like what's the point knowing at this stage of Squad Succession that we had Gordon and Fuimaono contracted in 2016 and all the players we had in 2016 that already have contracts for 2017 and beyond.

So it could look something like this...

Still Uncontracted beyond 2016
Fullback:
W/C: Faraimo, Schulte, Toutai, Tuha
Half: Cornish, Kelly, Robson
Hooker: King
Edge forward: Tanginoa, Woods
Tight forward: Hasson, Ualesi
Utility: Nelson

Nelson has re-signed:
