Really?

They are clearly out of contention and have lost Stefano but then again the Panthers missed out on him as well. I am only taking a guess but with the loss of JFH and having missed out on Stefano they may well look to bring him back home.

The Parramatta Eels have extended the contracts of Charlie Guymer, Saxon Pryke and Richard Penisini for two years until the end of the 2026 season.

All three players were members of the SG Ball Grand Final winning team in 2023 and have been rewarded with contract extensions for the development squad in 2025 with Charlie and Richard moving into the Top 30 in 2026.

Parramatta Eels General Manager of Football Mark O'Neill said, “It’s wonderful to see our players coming through the pathways program and being rewarded for their hard work and talent. We look forward to watching them progress in the NRL under the guidance of Head Coach Jason Ryles.”

Progressing rapidly through the Eels Pathways system in the back row, Guymer was named captain of the SG Ball team in 2023 and subsequently selected to represent Under 19's NSW Origin. He played the majority of the 2024 season in NSW Cup, before making an impressive first grade debut earlier this year.

“Charlie has wonderful leadership qualities and the characteristics you want in a player both on and off the field. We have no doubt he will thrive during pre-season training and be ready to play more NRL games next year,” said O’Neill.

Pryke has been part of the Eels system since 2019 progressing from development squads to Harold Matthews where he won Best and Fairest, to the Grand Final winning SG Ball team in 2023. Primarily playing as a lock forward this year, he earned the Jersey Flegg Cup Player of the Year at the Club’s annual Ken Thornett Medal ceremony.

“Saxon has been a standout player in the Jersey Flegg team and has earned a spot in the Development squad in 2025. He has a wonderful opportunity to further develop his game training in a high-performance environment and learning from the likes of J’maine Hopgood, which will set him up for future success.”

Penisini showed exciting signs during an impressive 2023 season as a powerful outside back in which he played SG Ball, Jersey Flegg, and made his New South Wales Cup debut. Coming back from a season ending injury he sustained earlier this year, he will commence training alongside his brother Will and the top squad in November.

“Richard is a talented young player, he has worked hard on his rehab journey and is now fully fit and ready to tackle the new year head on during pre-season training,” added O’Neill.

All still outside the Top 30 for 2025. That still leaves 6 spots to fill.

Pou has put Dunster in as 2025 based on rumour. Someone said after the pub thing he is around for 25 but we don't know on what terms. He might have train n trial (second tier) which would mean we have 7 spots open.
