Surely Brownlie will come in for Rutherford in the 2nd test. Other than that the team is playing great.

I'd give him the next test and if he doesn't score there he can spend a few years in domestic cricket working out how to play the short ball.

Be interesting to see if there are any changes, personally I would like to see Doug play a test, and a new opener but not sure Brownlie is the answer there

I feel he'd be worth a try thre as he is a better player of pace than spin. Nothing could be worse than Dudeford.

I just noticed we're due to tour England after the World Cup...

Boult and Southee might be pretty formidable with the duke ball in english conditions.

Think Doull is right we should be using the Duke anyway the Kookaburra balls are just flat out shit

I think Bracewell will be good too, while he's been decent enough Wagner's career might be nearing an end, all of Doug, Henry and Milne offer so much

Looks like we are poised to jump up to 5th on the Test rankings- from 7th, ahead of Sri Lanka and India

On form we are probably 2-4 of course given the schedules the whole thing is bullshit anyway.

Only team I'd say definitely beats us home and away is RSA

I think the Kookaburra or Duke issue is a financial one...

I don't blame NZ cricket if the Kookaburra deal is better.

I'm sure it is. Crap how they simply don't last though, I find the endless inspections rather tedious

TBH I don't know why the ICC haven't standardised which ball is used in test cricket.

I don't know if a single sport where the actual make of ball can have a varying impact on the match.

I know in Rugby the Adidas lemon balls were more difficult to control when kicking compared to the Gilbert ball...

But I think they may have standardised Rugby test match balls...

Sri Lanka win the toss and are set to bowl.

Bracewell in for Wagner.

Sri Lanka with a few changes, including Herath

Stating the obvious here. Rutherford seriously needs a score

How can you send anyone in with this pop gun pace attack???

Gee there are some laughable pace attacks around the world these days.
