I have been impressed with some of the football played by St Gaudens this year.

For those with greater knowledge, any idea who has been playing centre (3) and five-eighth for them this year?

Both players have looked very capable.

No idea mate, but I love looking at their highlights every week, they know how to play.

Albi have impressed me, can't wait to see carpentras doing the same thing.

i'll ask around to see what I can find out.

I have always thought that the greatest thing that could be done for french RL would be to have some top marketing and promotional work done for the elite clubs. From what I've seen, they offer a good product... but there just arn't that many people that know about it. I'm sure that if properly marketed, they could get more turn out at their matches (larger gate receipts) which would catch more media attention, which would increase their sponsorships, and possibly bring TV contracts...

All this would bring money to the code, and allow more players to train more, further increasing the quality of game, which brings in more people.......

You get my point.

I got a feeling we are starting to see that now yankee.

If I can find at least two months before the test, I'm going to head up Fox sports or telstra, and get people like you to either ask for the game on Fox or put the game on the Telstra site. Put he game on fox sports, or put it on line, we won't be stuffed around again.

I asked heaps of people last year, this time we'll be ready.

Be ready everyone, When it's up, I'll be on your back to put your name forward.

I know you wanted some news on Saints, I'll do my best.

But Yankee has put the 2008 England France game in our heads, we asked them 3 weeks before last year, I think if we get in quick enough, we'll get if over them.

I'll start a thread in about 1 half months, the f**kers have no excuse after that.
IT;'ll give them plenty of time, 2008, this is our year, we have learnt from the past.

LETS GIVE EM WHAT THEY PRAY FOR.

thats all of rugby league mate....for some reason we,all of us whether it be in britain,france or australia, don't know how to promote our game..never have :?

It's sad isn't it.

Grrrr.

At Least you two guys will help us out, lets show them, once the FFR13 VS ENG gets announced, that's when we attack..

being a yank... I take sports marketing and promotion for granted...

Having grown up with the NFL and college football (not to mention the other anoying round ball sports...) I have a hard time understanding how sports could NOT be properly marketing and promoted...

We need to get some NFL marketing people involved in world RL, then look out!

(again, sorry to original author for hijacking a legitimate thread....)

Generally the number 3 this year has been Simon Greaves as some of you guys will know he is formerly of wests magpies, i think he's played a bit of permier league, maybe even a first grade appearance or two, earlier on in the season he filled in at 6 too.

Last few weeks they have welcomed back Anthony Golder who has played at 6, from what i gather he has been out for a while and has just returned.

big interview with england coach tony smith in this months RL world in which he says he's going to pick the team for the france v england test in june on form not reputation..

so it looks like it's defo going ahead, i've heard it's the last weekend in june either the 27/28 or 29th

hmmmmmm, AFAIK Julian Gerin has mostly played centre this year with Greaves at 6, until Golders return.

In fact i think i'd stick my neck on the block and say he hasnt played 6 all year, he's lined up in the centres with greaves, or used off the bench.
