Most likely 'unsure, not realistically' is probably more accurate for most of the teams.

Ones that are definitely 'no' are Tigers, Eels, Knights and Penrith imo.
How you have Storm as a 'no' is laughable, I know you hate them but come on:lol:

As for the topic, no - I hope all Dragons fans aren't like this they're going to get their hearts broken come September.

So what constitutes a definate 'No' for you then? And why are you allowed to rule certain clubs but he isn't?

Personally I wouldn't say a 'Definate No' to any club at this stage. Let's go back a few years when the Tigers missed the 8 in '04 and came from nowhere to win the comp the following year. Over that period the Eels went from 12th to minor premiers. In 2000 the Dogs went from 12th to 2nd in '01. Penrith from 12th in '02 to Premiers in '03. Sharks from 11th in '98 to Minor premiers in '99. Anyone who writes off any side at this stage is just going to have egg on their face when this thread is dug up come round 26 because there are ALWAYS surprises.

Penrith in 2003 would've been a definate No.

Wests Tigers in 2005 would've been a definate No.

History proves that 'no hopers' can surprise.

So we shouldn't write off anyone completely or the thread will be bumped at the end of the year and you'll look like a goose.

Well said.

Any team can win it. It's only round 3.

Any team with Jamie Soward playing well has to be a chance. Plus, the Bennett factor. They look to have a very mobile team this year, and I think young Prior looks to be a good bet for them.

Not writing them off.

The only real thing I questioned Johnsy about was Melbourne - Who has made 3 GFs in a row but he expects that they are in the definite 'no' category.

Ok...then dig it up and I'll turn up if any of those win the premiership:?
Because he is a QLD'er
I'm actually a girl, mind you that's irrelevent to a bitter and twisted NSWelshmen like yourself:roll:

LOL@depth you're dreaming, you clearly hate the Storm lack of depth is as thin veiled as it gets.

maybe, but im leaning more towards one in 2010/11. This year we are missing someone with "match winning" abilities- eg Gasnier. We have a reasonable side this year, that has thus far defended excellently, only conceded 5 tries in the first two games, but has attacked rather poorly, only scoring 5 tries, two from kicks, one from an error and two through attack.
we had a big chance in 2005, finishing equal first and having some great wins with a side branded as the "best ever" but a pathetic excuse for a coach cost us and we choked in the prelim. but anyway, i think with the next 3 years we will win. bennett is no brown! he is a winner, not a pesimistic loser!

Fair enough. Let's keep in mind though that the last time a side made 3 consecutive grand finals they ended up completely missing the 8 the following season... and that same yr team from outside the 8 the previous year won the comp. Deja Vu... cannot rule it out.

dont have the halves or the depth to win it this year. will probably make the 8 though.

if bennett can attract a quality half they will be in with a shot.

surely not even the most one eyed saints supporter would give them a chance of being premiers with 6. soward 7. hornby
