Revenge of the Sith is better than anything this sequel trilogy could even hope to put out.

Easily. Dialogue was still terrible but there were some awesome scenes in that movie.

I enjoy all my trips to a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away..

I will not go to the movies but will enjoy it eventually.

Only just watched Solo.

I had to watch the power rangers once.........

Every single Star Wars effort shytes on that tripe.

The prequels were poor no denying that but at least there is a coherent plot and a continuation of the story. What has this trilogy been about??? A paint by numbers of a New hope and how much Identity politics can we fit in the narrative. Oh and let’s destroy the OT character’s so we can push the new 2 dimensional characters no one gives a f**k about. I watched the prequels recently and while the dialogue is atrocious and some of the acting is poor at least they are watchable. The Last Jedi is one of the worst movies I have seen for such a big budget film. But but but it subverted our expectations.......

Why are you even contributing to this thread then? Shouldn't you just go watch stuff you actually like and comment on that?

I'm going to watch The Last Jedi again tonight in prep for The Rise of the Skywalkers tomorrow night.

i disagree.... Hayden Christiansen being the central character ruined those prequels beyond repair for me.

Daisy Ridley is a billion times better in the sequel’s.

The whole forced diversity thing I don’t give a f**k about... they can be black, white, female, trans... hell they can be f**king purple with a vagina on their forehead and a pair of ball’s on their chin...

the acting and the story is what I’ll look at.

I agree, just the wrong guy, wooden as, but not beyond repair, I loved Mace, I thought Palpatine was a good choice, little Anai was great.

Ewen McGregor was a great Obi-wan, Dooku, execute order 66.

It ain't all bad.

What I do know is if you watch it all, R2D2 is the hero, the rest just help.

All the people who I have spoken to who defend the last Jedi struggle to tell me what they like about it. I could he on here for days telling you everything I disliked about it.

I never said the prequels didn’t have flaws, he did go full Vader way too quick but at least he had some sort of arc. But he did have Palpatine from a young age in his ear pushing him towards the dark side. What arc has Soylo Ren had??? He been beaten by a girl twice and no doubts will get his arse handed to him yet again. Worst Villain ever. And then we have the Super dooper amazing Rey!! She is so amaaaaaaaazing and is just the best at everything and never loses a battle. The biggest Mary Sue in the history of cinema.

Same, I was pretty pumped for TLJ. Trailer looked real good and whatever you think of TFA JJ did set up some decent plot points to follow.

what’s the matter with Rey?? She’s only had 1 actual fight and that was with Kylo Ren. And she took him by surprise as he didn’t realise how strong she was.

but remember that she was brought up on Jakku and had to fend for herself from a young age... so she’s probably tough as a motherf**ker... she was already handy as hell with the staff so translated it to the lightsaber.

I mean I’m all seriousness... if you gave both Rey and Ben Solo regular weapons with no force powers and asked them to fight I’d put my money on the hard nosed kid who was brought up rough as hell and had to fight for everything over the whiny kid who lived a pampered life as son of a princess and general.

Odd you mention Jar Jar - if the franchise was ever going to be "destroyed" it was after the prequels ... that it came back after those run of stinkers is a minor miracle.

The only positive thing the new trilogy has done is make people realise the prequels were not as bad as they originally thought.
