Grandstand finish, watch for a DCE field-goal to finish it...if they get in position.

Lol, Cam Smith showing his mentality after that try where Paulo was held into the scrum, “it happens in most scrums so it’s fine”. As legal as all the Storm contracts you signed that you had no idea about ole son
I loved how Joey said something about the 90000+ supporters. Stadium hold 84000.

New QLD dinesty. Combo, Cardigan, Nanai, Cotter all on debut. Coates, Tino, Grant all babies. Munster and Ponga still close to 10 yrs to go in the game.
And Liam Martin is a fkn grub. Small man’s syndrome. Drops elbows, rubs faces and just a cock. He’s only there cos he’s riding Panthers coat tails. Jake T all day over him and Tariq

Flogging a dead horse but why the f**k was Nanai playing for Queensland and more importantly why is Taulagi (who lived in NZ until a much older age and who we could definitely use) in the squad. Has the NZRL just totally given up on anyone who can possibly play for another country? Does every kid who leaves NZ and plays rugby league end up hating their country? The whole situation is f**ked.

Annesley press conference today required so the NRL coaches can be informed how long you’re allowed to hold a player in after the ball has cleared the scrum ;)

I don't think it's a hating NZ thing. The Kiwis haven't played for 3 years. The allure of SOO is just greater. Better money, more exposure, more games, I can see why anyone would go for it. The NZRL can do all they want, but there's not much of a carrot for them to dangle.

Clearly the best quality game of the season. I don't like the big wankfest that Origin is off the field, but on ground, that was a great product.

Even the parts that weren't quality (out of the 20 or so minutes I saw) the commentators pretended they the greatest things to ever happen on a sports field anyway.

To play Origin they have to get there in their early teens and between then and when they play senior footy they're going to Origin camps etc. It sucks but it is what it is. We should definitely do the NZ version of 501 them though if they try to get back into the country. Choosing to play for Australia should definitely be a fail on the good character test. 😉

for some reason the rules have always been interpreted in a unique way for Qld

I only saw the highlights, was it reviewed?
Technically now every single scoring play is reviewed.

cronk says it was a try because Paulo didn’t run up to the ref carrying on like Moses or Gutherson would, shit it’s a sad state of affairs if we can only get a correct call if the players blow up at the ref

Just watched Alexander on 360, official explanation on the try was that Sims broke early so they were happy for Paulo to be held in. Holy moly there is so much wrong with that I don’t know where to start

They just make up shit on the spot, don't they?

That's ridiculous if Cronk said that. And equally as ridiculous with the other part.
