Does Qld not have any more forwards with some size to match NSW in game 2? We were monstered even by some of their backs

The year-on-year attendance and TV viewership for Women's Origin 1 (attendance up slightly, viewership down slightly) are both within the margin of rounding errors. They are essentially the same.

Given the 2024 figures were unexpectedly high, and subsequently multiplied by 3, every reason to deem last night a significant success. Demonstrates 2024 was no flash in the pan. Establishes Women's Origin as a prestigious high-rating event on the calendar. Ought to be valuable as regards the profile and remuneration the players deserve.

Perhaps the one cavil is to wonder whether QRL could be doing more to galvanize a Matildas-esque demographic at Suncorp. Comparable NSWRL efforts at Allianz in a fortnight will provide more context.

Four days on and the Women's Origin highlights package on YouTube is running at 117k views. Pretty impressive considering the NRLW channel is separate from the NRL channel and only has around 21k subscribers.

Credit to Salty for commentary. Reckon he and Speedy are the best for Women's RL.

Let's hope Sarah isn't involved in any more head clashes. At Origin 1, Jasmine Peters was taken out in similar fashion to England's Vicky Whitfield in Vegas.

As with Dylan Napa a few years ago, match review committees will eventually discern a common element in such incidents and hold the player to account.

QLD will miss Tamika Upton, but have also thrown pride out the window by the continued selection of Briggenshaw. There has to be something going on as SOO and NRLW have been beyond her for sometime now, yet she is still selected.

Kylie Hilder got the hook for last years poor performances so surely the QRL will do the same with Tahnee Norris?

The pass for the Ciesiolka try in Game 2 last year possibly convinced Tahnee that she could still rely on Ali to produce a clutch play when really needed.
