Luke Patten
Hornby has been playing fantastic footy this year and really if we want players picked on form he is the man.
Luke Patten   .. ordinary
:iwstupid:
Shows you watch nothing but the bottom of a schooner in Balmain
Patten was selected in Country over Hornby AND played all over him on Sat night getting a Dally M point for his trouble (L. Daley judge). I rate Hornby but he was very nervous under the high ball and not so good in attack last week.
Patten also sheeeeeeets all over Hodgson. 8)
Now now JK no need to get touchy, i might be stupid but im not with you ;-)
The empty schooner wasnt in Balmain either!
In my opinion Patten is ordinary and isnt an Origin player. An odd good game here or there but he is nothing special. Form for the whole year id have to say Hornby deserves it. I think Hornby is much more explosive in attack and in Origin i think its what you need.
As razor (i think) has already pointed out Hornby was injured for city country.
Hodgson has not regained the form that saw him get selected and play brilliantly a couple of years ago. Hopefully he will get it back one day as i thought he was an excellent player that year, and whilst not being a Tigers fan id like to see them go well for a change. I agree with his non selection.
I think Gower and Timmins are both very tough players but i think you need one of them to be a little more creative and thats why i think Scott Hill would have done really well alongside Gower as he is a creative, classy player.
