Our boys were attempting to play as they do with the Panthers but with NSW supporting cast/structures instead. Is it our players not being able to adapt to other structures? Are they not as good players as we think they are when they are outside our system? Is Freddy a crap coach? Could the answer be D (All of the above)?
I had a non-Panthers friend point out to me how disjointed our players looked with the rest of the team and how clunky they were. I couldn;t fault him.
Obviously, there were other problems. TPJ was a brain explosion selection. Hudson Young was awful and Teddy is a horrible ball hog who no longer breaks the line. Fox was also a complete passenger out there - diabolical.
Need jake turbo too, aka JURBO, making those under the rib hits and taking pressure off Yeo and Api in the middle defensively, this is probably why they seemed ineffective, too much work in defenseHopefully Fittler makes changes maybe Cook, Reynolds, Walker, Mitchell, Graham with Murray starting. Be good for us but there will only be two changes Spencer will get picked to replace Young and Mitchell will replace Crichton.
Martin and Luai had good games.
Tedesco had an all time shocker. As bad as Hodges.
Hynes injected worse than Salmon against the Rabbits. Terrible decision.
Think our starting team was wrong. We had to start Murray.

It's fittler not actually coaching them. Looks like he's just hoping the Panthers success will rub off on the team while QLD are actually coaching to win.
Murray and Yeo are the best forwards and both 80 min players. Both should start
Turbo was invisible out there
Plodesco crabbed away any space he could have had. Turbo & JAC were non events due to Teddy being a handbrake. I don't know why he bothers with the stupid dummy, everyone knows he aint passing it. One hospital pass to Frizzel is about the only time he let go of it on that edge.Murray and Yeo are the best forwards and both 80 min players. Both should start

Turbo tried getting involved running left side. He and ADC caught a cold. Attack was very disappointing on that side.
Frizell was one of our bestPenrith play a flat attack that is just not working at origin level .QLD where deep and gave them plenty of scope
Fittler has to make hard decisions just like slater did .Pick form players not name players
Turbo has had one good game this year
Tedesco same
Frizell same
TPJ not even one game all selected .time to start fresh
He is an individual player that's why they look good on paper. If Dylan played NSW win.Tedesco's stats actually sound decent
200+ metres
20+ runs
7 tackle breaks
what the stats dont mention - how many times stopped momentum in the set or feeding the elite players outside of him, Gallen curse still exists - NSW captain who loves to hog the ball. Never mind his defence or being outjumped by a prop at the end...surely worse NSW captain performance in Origin
Cleary kicking is so predictable in origin - he really does shit the bed at times in Origin (he has had very good games, so he has it in him)
Frizzell & Critta had pretty solid games - Critta made some very good defensive reads in that game that seemed to go unnoticed.
Id stick with Hudson Young - a couple of silly errors and then hooked, ran some good lines and had tough carries - he doesnt mind getting hit which you need in Origin.
TPJ brain fart - well there's no shock, the whole state knew that
Haas - better in 2nd half but is in the Cleary & Yeo category - looks good for club but looks contained in origin.
If you dont pick Edwards for Game 2, then Freddy shouldnt pick Nathan either- id only stick with Cleary for G2 if Edwards plays

The Panthers take an age to score and need many opportunities and it showed up last night. Nathan and Luai aren't creative enough. For NSW moving forward Hynes needs to play and Cleary to be 2nd fiddle.
1. Edwards/Mitchell
3/4 Graham & Burton
6. Hynes
7. Cleary
9. Korisiou
14 Cook
