NRL Club Membership has increased 12.7% to 204,772.
• 2.8 million fans across Facebook making up the largest cumulative sports fan base on social media in Australia.
Why aren't these knts getting out to the games each week ffs
Western Sydney crowds up 12%...
What sort of annual report doesn't have a finances section?
Maybe next year they won't be so embarrased and will tell us the fianncial state of the game now it has some money?
Would be nice to see a more detailed report, show us where fudning goes to and how many development officers there are in each part of the country, how many clubs and players etc etc etc
State of the NRL would be a more accurate descriptor for the report.
Nice to see Perth lead the crowd growth area though, lot of good it did us!
Continues to be a poor excuse for an annual report. Hopefully with the new IC we will get a proper annual report that focuses on all levels of the game and shows more detail for scrutiny by the stakeholders. Wonder why we continually refuse to show our financial performance?

YesGood to see the membership numbers up nicely:
Didn't previous years have a club by club breakdown?
The useful information goes to those who need it. The "stakeholders" will get to see everything they need to see. There is no benefit of sharing more financial or detailed development information with the public
You, as a poster on a message board on the internet, are lucky to get this much.
lol, you don't think fans are "stakeholders" in the game? It's gone from 41 pages to 29 pages this year. I look forward to getting the one pager next!

It is obvious that they try to put a positive spin on these reports. If it is good news, it will be front and centre. If it is bad news, it will be glossed over or left out entirely. This is hardly a serious report on the state of the game, it is an advertising brochure!
As long as the people who are making key decisions have access to the solid numbers, I'm happy with that. I'd love to be privy to it, but I understand that not everything needs to be made public.

This is the ARL financial report from 2007 but it still makes for interesting readingWhat sort of annual report doesn't have a finances section?
