Yeah, I agree with that. It's funny how Parramatta fans were all over the moon when Fitzgerald got sacked. Fair enough, I agree the man stayed on for a bit too long, but to get Osbourne as his replacement....deary me. The guy does nothing other than make outlandish statements in the media (a bit like Anthony Mundine). He can talk the talk, but has problems walking the walk.
Besides the CEO, another problem which will continue to stay at Parramatta (and this has been mentioned by someone else in another thread) until it is resolved is the problem associated with former players running the club. As someone said, ex-players don't necessarily make great administrators and in most cases, actually can make things a lot worse. I should know this from supporting a team (Newcastle) where the 'old boys' mentality has been prevalent there for many years and as a consequences, tough decisions are not made, nepotism becomes rife, and the ex-player's favourites always get pandered out to (not to also mention that the club's finances get botched in the process). I get very sick and tired of this type of situation.
