He's been living off two passes for 16 years (For the young or ignorant Canberra's 1994 GF burial of the Bulldogs).

HAHAHAHA! He can consider himself dead lucky. If John Lomax didn't get sent off and suspended after the previous game, you may have never heard of Osbourne again.

Yeah, I agree with that. It's funny how Parramatta fans were all over the moon when Fitzgerald got sacked. Fair enough, I agree the man stayed on for a bit too long, but to get Osbourne as his replacement....deary me. The guy does nothing other than make outlandish statements in the media (a bit like Anthony Mundine). He can talk the talk, but has problems walking the walk.

Besides the CEO, another problem which will continue to stay at Parramatta (and this has been mentioned by someone else in another thread) until it is resolved is the problem associated with former players running the club. As someone said, ex-players don't necessarily make great administrators and in most cases, actually can make things a lot worse. I should know this from supporting a team (Newcastle) where the 'old boys' mentality has been prevalent there for many years and as a consequences, tough decisions are not made, nepotism becomes rife, and the ex-player's favourites always get pandered out to (not to also mention that the club's finances get botched in the process). I get very sick and tired of this type of situation.

What you say is true. Fitzy is a perfect example. Sadly after many attempts it took ex players to dislodge him. Still, there are non - player businessmen in charge. Give e' a go.

What I find odd is a lot of fans bagging club legends for the Anderson decision. For the good of Parra I'd back the likes on Price, Grothe and Kenny any day over Ando and the Fitzgerald cronies.

Kearney may have ace up sleeve

STEVE KEARNEY’s appointment at the Eels is smart on so many levels – not least will be his ability to recruit players. Not only is he respected by the Storm players, he has the support of all the very best Kiwis in the NRL. And then there is a prominent former Kiwi league star and All Black in the making, Sonny Bill Williams. Kearney has stayed in regular touch with Williams since he walked out on the Bulldogs. When SBW was in Toulon Kearney maintained contact as a friend and has always been a huge supporter. Clearly Williams faces a big challenge as he tries to earn a place in the All Blacks side for next year’s World Cup. And if he makes that side, he will be hard to bring back to the NRL. However, Williams has plenty of time for Kearney and if the Eels manage to recruit Quade Cooper at the end of the World Cup, the chances of Williams then joining the Eels would increase again. Cooper and SBW are friends and would love to play in the same team.

Dont you just love Danny Weidler?!!!!

I think Bert is one of the board members. The coach is always getting you know what up the arse by the board.
