I know he may have media comittments but it's time Sterlo bit the bullet and took on a role like this one. Look at Meninga and, dare I say it Vautin, when he coached the maroons to victory. A fomer legend needs to get in there and show them a thing or two about origin.

I saw it was Neil Henry who was addressing the Maroons at half time. What does Mal do actually ?

haa and look at the way fatty's qld sides were pummled following that freakish series win.

i think brian smith would go great coaching against that qld side. what the blues need now is a tactical person and while sterlo has an awesome football mind i can't see him leaving his commentary position to be put under the scrutiny a high profile coach is.

You're all high.

The answer is in front of your very eyes:

1. Hayne (Captain/Coach)

The rest will fall into place.

It's a shame that The Expert aka Mr Personality is a Qlder. He'd turn them around.

What Mal dose is the individual coaching. He is the guy who will go up to each player and give them the little one on one chats. Neil Henry on the other hand is the tactical one, he is the one that coaches the whole team on their running, their defensive line, positional play and attacking plays. He also has a good control of ruck defence, you could see it alot in Canberra when he coached there last year.

Sterlo, who is a NSW legend, is a smart footy brain, might not be the kind of coach that can get these players heads on straight. Phil Gould can do both, he would be the prime choice, but he has made it pretty clear that he dosent want to anymore, although im sure he could be persuaded.

If we want to copy the Queensland coaching format, Sterlo would be a great assistant coach and John Cartwrite could be head coach. 2 very respectable Blues who can communicate well.

With the continual advancement stem cell research, the opportunities of cloneing in the near future is a possibility. If we can also reverse the ageing process, Adrew Johns 5 or 6 years younger could make an impact to.

i know phil gould doesn't want to coach anymore but maybe he could come on as a tactics consultant?
p.s. to mark geyer benny elias and all the other former blues players gleefully putting the boot into all and sundry: either put up or SHUT UP get in there and help dig nsw out of this hole or stop being part of the problem by opening your mouth whenever there's a camera pointed at you
