When the alleged obstruction occured, he was in fact onside.

Then its an obstruction.

Can't believe the reaction to this. Gould said this morning if Eastwood got away with grabbing Sowards jumoer then he would have said good luck. Why doesn't he say good luck to Soward for getting away with one by running into Eastwood and milking one (not that Jamie would do that, of course:sarcasm:)

Doesn't make sense to me.

I thought we were very lucky, but you guys have had big calls go your way against us before & Clarke has been the referee.

Its fish and chip wrapping. Get over it. I'm sure things will even out.

I sure do hope so. So far it is 4 premiership points against us unfairly

YOU DONT CARE BWAAA AHHHH HAAAAAA ive heard it all now, anyway!!

We havent won a WOODEN SPOON and never will be tagged with the worst mark a club can have against its name.....proud clubs dont succumb to that, MYTHS do.
;-)

Always been full of hot air the Dogs, some things never change !!
Culture change maybe? NOTTTTTTT

Your good value Jimmy cause your one of the many who live in that deluded world of Dogs this, dogs that.

Should thank people like me putting u nevs back in line.

And a proud club can go with out a premiership for over 30 years in the modern game, even though they have always had a strong roster?

Wouldn't say unfairly Dogaholic. You had 14 on the field against Penrith. I would think that is pretty straight forward.

A lt of Saints fans have been on here acknowledging you were unlucky. Take note of that and stop farkin whinging about the Penrith game - I haven't heard too much sooking from Panthers fans about not getting 2 points that could rightfully be construed as theirs, but Dogs fans still maintain they were hard done by.

Move on. Its Rd 10 for f**ks sake.

Okay I get it now, you've never won a spoon before so you're making a big deal out of it to make yourself feel better. Fair enough I guess, especially when you haven't won anything for 30 years.

As for me, I couldn't give a sh*t that we won a spoon in the 101st year, nor could I give a sh*t that the 101st year was called the Centenary Year. At the time I did, but I was over it quicker than you can say "dragonshaven'twonapremiershipin3decades". Because you're the only person that remembers wooden spooners, normal people or at least people that can just remember their premierships.

Our club has been tagged cheaters because of the salary cap scandal, rapists because of the Coffs Harbour scandal, who knows what else because of a small crowd of violent scum, and here you are saying that the Wooden Spoon is the worst mark a club can get against its name. You're an idiot of the highest order.

MYTHS don't win premierships, champion clubs do. The Dragons stopped being a champion club 4 decades ago. The Dogs have had just as much success over the last 3 decades as any other club. And you think we're myths? pffffff I scoff in your face.

Voice sounded like Tony archer could be clearly heard saying forward pass and another voice ( probably klien the pocket ref) PLAY ON ?

If the pass was forward why did he call play on and why didnt archer call the pass forward

I

Good point i was thinking the same thing , gould is being a hypocrite he complain about soward, yet said he would praise eastwood for a clever thing if eastwood cheated and stop soward from making the tackle

As a hater of both sides I don't think clarke's decision was a howler. I probably would have awarded the try, but I can certainly see how obstruction was ruled. I don't think that's in doubt, the only question for me was if Soward would have got to Patten or not. I don't think he would have but that's a judgement call.

So now because the media is howling for it Clarke will get the sack? Another example of how the media in this country has gone f**king mad. They're like a bunch of shock jocks with no balance - nice one Gus for kicking this one off.

Nice balanced post Eion.

Shock Jocks is right. The amount of rubbish that comes out and the sensationalism attached to it is a prime reason as to why the Nine Network is just about dead & Phil Gould is at the head of it.

Out of touch. They still haven't cottoned on to the fact that people can get their opinions from other media sources with less hyperbole, opinion & hype.

f**k off Channel Nine. You're more out of touch than John Howard was at the least election.

The Bulldogs were robbed of 2 competition points, a sensational match-winning try, and a deadest great win in a great game. Someone has to be held accountable, and that person is the person who made the mistake. His superior also admitted the mistake was made, the NRL admitted the mistake was made, therefore, he is accountable.

What about the mistake of giving the bulldogs an extra six ruling a copper knock on when it wasnt, which lead to idris first tryand what about creagh disallowed try, they were the main decision which could have lost the dragons the game, when the scores shouldnt have been close.so if you going to go back on one mistake it should be all mistakes which would shown the bulldogs disallowed try wouldnt have made any difference.

Also the weymen farcical obstruction which lead to another bulldogs try which they wouldnt have gotten

time to get over it boys.

if it was earlier in the game we wouldn't have this issue.

we were denied a certain try in the first 10 minutes, and creaghs "double movement" was sketchy...

and all this talk about the better team losing? ffs get over yourselves, the best team won, regardless of the circumstances. we dominated all game and you almost pinch it with seconds to go? please...

Another ten minutes and Dragons would have got blasted to oblivion.
As for you calling the dogs fans whingers, as I recall alot of the dragons fans were crying all week over a clarke decision 10 years ago.
We can talk about a blatant robbing for at least a week, at least we wont be cryign about it 10 years on.

Even Ben Creigh knew it was a double movement you geniused gimp.
You can blame Matt the hogg cooper for not putting the game out of reach.

WTF? Cooper tapped it out of our player's hand you dunce, it was a clear knock on. Creagh's was clearly a double movement. Weyman farcical obstruction?

You're desperate to save face here, that much is showing.

Especially given you won.

I know that we might get mixed responses about this but I think if there is more than 1 involved in a tackle and a player from the defending team somehow dislodges the balls, the team who lost it should retain possession. Eg that's why stripes are 1 on 1 - yet Idris got the ball knocked from his grasp over the line and the Dragons come up with the ball.

The replay clearly shows Ben Creagh's elbow made contact with the turn before he reached out for the line. That spoke for itself.
