Mills was good today, BUT he only ran over the top of a kid who had a shocker.

I thought Pickerd was good at fullback too.

Good to see they are looking at options at fullback for when Gards goes to half.
Dane Chisholme will be leaving the Storm this year & I think is playing for our NSW cup team. Anybody seen how he is going?

He IS right though. Mills didn't do a lot aside from score 3 tries.
After he scored the 3rd, the Knights kid that he was trampling over got the hook.
They should have doen it earlier!

Mills WILL be good, but not yet.

Next year for Mills, still has grief with the knee.
Lateral movement is a killer, but he is a big powerful kid who will play alot of first grade.

Anybody else notice that another chronic knee injury player who's career was ovr because of it, doesnt even wear a knee strapping any longer? Brian Norrie
Why are there so many bad knees in our club?

Mills is a cut above NYC due to his strength in contact. I don't think he is ready for firsts yet and to come into our team now wouldn't be great. Ideally you would come into a more settled team as a rookie.

He needs to get games under his belt to develop his confidence after the horrible injuries.

I'd keep him in under 20s for at least the first half of the year. If he's performing well he could play out the season in NSWCup and push for a centres spot in the offseason for next year. We won't be challenging for the title this year, there is no need to rush him into the side prematurely.

If we are eyeing a player for 1st grade next year, we should definitely give him at least 2 games this year to get the feel of it so they have more idea what it takes. That way they have the off- season to properly prepare.

Agree. I think that he will get a few games towards the end of the season and he will be better for having played a string of games in NYC to gain confidence.
