Dicky is once again putting up smoke and mirrors to mask his shortcomings.

Since Stuart has gone to the Sharks they have developed a bad culture.Ill discipline on and off the field whilst paying him a super coachs salary.

Dicky swallow your pride and give Gus a call and 75% of your salary. We all know your nothing without him.

Always everyone elses fault but Dickys.

He would still be playing for Manly if he did that.

Would the NRL have let Bird play if the Sharks didn't act?

You must have a crystal ball, i certainly wouldnt be so sure. Youre saying that if Brett Stewart had lied to the police, refused to talk to the Sea Eagles and tried to blame someone else, then the Sea Eagles would still be playing him.

I doubt that, but I guess we'll never know seeing as these cases are completely different.

Indeed how ironic it will be if the bloke running around to standing ovations ends up doing time whilst the other one exiled in France gets off....

piss off ricky stuart - this guy is a living breathing double standard
pressed for todd carney to be dropped
pressed for bird to play

sticky has black n blue goggles on
i dont like the support brett stewart is getting, but he is innocent until proven guilty, and bird was already guilty of lying to the club, and the cops.
there are double standards in the game, we all know it - but i dont want to hear it from the double standard king himself, cronic sore loser whinger

lol, horsesh*t. Can you find an article anywhere where Sticky says Bird should play or where he said Carney should be dropped?

Manly don't have to play someone who is accused of sexual assault. They are choosing to put the image of the game at risk and in my opinion should be punished if he is found guilty.

Nobody makes Manly select Stewart every week. They are doing it to win football games. I can't blame them, but I certainly do worry about the potential fallout a guilty verdict will have on the game.

Manly and Stewart will share responsibility for the damage to the games image if he is found guilty.
Manly DO NOT have to play him.

But the nrl has let him back to play. You are saying they should fine manly for playing him all this time if he is found guilty for harming the image of the game blah blah blah. Why exactly would the nrl ban a player and only make it for 4 weeks when really they want him out until his court case? Why would they allow manly to keep playing him while in the back of their heads thinking "right, if this bloke is guilty we are fining manly. Never mind that we could have put a stop to it and prevented any damage from occuring in the first place."

But I understand its what you think should happen, but there is zero chance of it happening.

As for the bolded, manly got fined and lost their best player for 4 weeks. Stewart got banned for 4 weeks. So they should just continually be punished for the same offence?

No offence Tommax but this seems to be pissing people off more now cause manly are winning games. I didnt see Ronny showing his disgust when Laffranchi played with a rape charge on him in court. Yes its a serious charge but the Manly fans can only go by what Stewart is pleading & if he says NOT GUILTY then we will support the guy until it is proven otherwise. I know if he is proven guilty i will admit what a bad jugde in character i had & he should get what he deserves.

Some of the ideas like suspending players when incidents like this comes up until court is over sounds good, but lets put it into perpesctive. Finals football is on, said team is on fire then a girl comes out & says star player sexually assaulted/raped/looked at me in the wrong way & bam team loses their star player only to have to wait over a year for the court to sort it out. Hmm getting rid of that player was really easy, now ALL players will have to have a personal minder video taping their every move to make sure they have an alibi. DOES'NT WORK

Ricky Stuart although seems to be making sense he is a f**king twit, HIS CLUB suspended Bird indefinatley THEY had their reasons, NOT NRL, WTF is with Stuart's head, if it was because Bird lied then fine but Brett Stewart so far has not been proven to have lied so until then Ricky should just enjoy being the guy who lost the Aussies the world cup cause he cant pick a proper forward pack. WHINGER

The fact is the 4 game suspension was all good when we where losing but now its a problem cause we cheered our fullback ON THE FIELD now everyone is disgusted. With the exception of some fans knowing the player personally (supporting him on the incident), most Manly fans cheered this player on cause of his football ability, off field judgment is up to the courts not a bunch of league supporters. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME A PLAYER HAS PLAYED WITH A SEXUAL ASSAULT OR RAPE CHARGE on them in the court process, why the F*** is this case so different? Dont say its because we cheered him on or treated him like a hero pfffttt it was news ltd who painted that picture the fans just showed their support for the fullback cause the team needs it.

Answer is many wanted to see this club get pissed down the drain again & any controversy they get into is a double standard in itself as any previous benchmark (Laffranchi, Crockett) is forgotten & suddenly they are the new anti-christ. TO Ronny this is propably the norm

Try and look at it from this perspective - say a mate of yours was charged with sexual assault, but he swears to you he didn't do it. Are you gonna just cold shoulder the guy straight away, or back him until the courts decide the case?

I was at Brookvale and i cheered Brett Stewart's tries, and I have no problem with it. If he turns out to be found guilty, i'll be at the front of the mob calling for him to banned from playing for the club (and the code) ever again, but until then its innocent until proven guilty. So give it a f**king rest Ricky, you have bigger fish to fry right now.

Unlike you, I do not sit at home all day in front of the laptop in my undies covered in chip crumbs and drool.

Winning horse? 2 from 6 means losing, you dope.

Souths were dreadful - but, with a little luck, they could have scored several times and changed the whole complexion. Good to see the referee and linesmen give the Manly scum a legup by ignoring the blatant interference of the fullback friom the bomb - and Manly scored soon afterwards.
