Just a few notes on last night and for those of you who attended, please feel free to correct me and add on your comments:
About 45 people showed up, in attendance was Roy Spagnola, John Chidiac, Mario Libertini, Ron Hilditch, Andrew Hill, Daniel Anderson, Gareth Holmes, Luke Coleman (Parra Stadium Trust), the girls who work in the footy office and also the action CEO of the Leagues Club.
Only 11 questions were submitted, they ranged from game day operations, to why cant kids access the stadium after the game, the stupid hand rails in the grandstand, the food at the stadium, recruitment, Season Ticket Membership and after that they opened the floor for members to ask questions
I thought it was a very informative meeting and perhaps some things I perhaps weren't aware of
We set the prices regarding entry into the stadium. They will be looking at this as Roy mentioned they need bums on seats. Said that perhaps/maybe they may need to lower the price because they need a higher crowd with a lower ticket price rather a high ticket with less people in the Stadium
Luke Coleman absolutely got smashed not only by some members but when someone asked the question as to why we cant bring fast food into the stadium, Mario Libertini got up and said put the macs in a lunch box container or a plain paper bag and take it in with you. Had to of seen the look on Luke Coleman's face.
Mario Libertini mentioned a Membership package on the one card that will merge your Football Club, Leagues Club, Season Ticket all in one barcode. Also with that card you will get discounts at for example Budget or Europcar rentals, restaurants in the Parra Area, hotels deals and also Banking and Finance sectors.
We have an arrangement with Gemma Catering as the caterers of the Stadium which is in place for a few more years. The question was asked regarding our food prices with other venues and Mr Coleman mentioned the prices of pies and beers at other venues. One member asked why cant the Leagues Club supply the food at the stadium???
We don't have money for Game Day Operations, so we just have pretty much junior league. It's a OH&S issue. A few years back, someone broke their hand from catching a bomb and then obviously the club had to fit the medical bills for that
Kids running onto the stadium wont be happening, another public liability and OH&S issue. Kids running around and someone tackles another kid and they break their leg also then we would have to get more police and security and pay for their services as well.
New Jersey wont be in place next year, the club needs to inform the NRL 18 months out in advance though Hilly mentioned that he is discussing it at the moment
