Haha Brownie the supercoach !
Giants eye second spot
Friday 31st July 09
In-form Huddersfield Giants will move above Leeds Rhinos into second place if they can secure a sixth successive win at the expense of Hull FC at the KC Stadium.
Victory would complete a perfect build-up to next week's Carnegie Challenge Cup semi-final against St Helens for coach Nathan Brown.
"Our form is definitely improving," said Brown. "The past two weeks have been two of our better games for a while.
"We'd like to improve again against Hull to go into the Challenge Cup in good form. We said we wanted to use the five weeks leading up to the cup as building blocks to that game.
"We've won five games in a row and are definitely getting better. The best way to prepare for the cup is by playing well in the lead up to it."
The Giants' lofty position has generated much excitement at the Galpharm Stadium but Brown is keen to keep things in modest proportion.
"We're third on the ladder and in the semi-finals of the Challenge Cup but we know that to get to where we want to we've got to keep on improving," he said.
"Building on what we've done is the really important thing for us at the moment.
"If we do end up with the second position, then great, but if we don't and we end up in the top four and playing well, we'll feel very happy."
