i'm devastated...

we needed 1 more try to seal that game, and we couldnt come up with it. we were a well oiled machine without a pilot.

I thought it was a great effort, and I have no issue with the fact they couldn't score one more try. The Storm defence was incredible to be honest, and the Knights threw everything at them.

I enjoyed the Melbourne matchday experience too

yeah, credit where it is due... the storm defence was absolutely outstanding.

still... we had so much ball. very disappointing to lose like that. hopefully it doesn't deflate the team.

Made mention of it in the NYC thread, but Pete Mata Utia went off tonight with a knee injury in the 20's game.

He spent 3/4 of the game on the sideline icing it. I know its a bit off topic , but he is a future first grader, and just hope its not too serious.

pfft.

Anyway, terrible game by the halves. No direction, and the worst kicking game I have seen since we had Rudder and Gidley in the halves.

Our forwards can really get up for a game. I think the forearm to Pato's head fired up Wicks and it showed. When Wicks is able to isolate a defender and have first contact around his chest, he is unstoppable.

I honestly don't get why you are all saying the kicking game was so bad, not saying it was great but we got 6 drop outs from our kicking game.....

The attacking kicks from inside the 10 were great. Anything beyond that was terrible.

Sure was, possibly some of the best we've seen all season actually, and thats with the short Storm in-goals too! :p

Otherwise not so flash as well covered by others.

We almost beat Melbourne in Melbourne. Heart-breaking loss but if we can defend that well next week and just get our attack sorted we will punish Canberra. At least we can return from Melbourne this year without a -50 differential.

Hilder had a great game. He always defends well but often looks pedestrian in attack. Last night he looked capable of breaking the line or creating something for others.
