Why in the hell do you have a specialist 5/8 on the bench when you have all that possesion near their line early on .We looked ordinary in attack it was a stupid decision by hagan.

On a positive note, it was our stand-in five-eighth who ran the angle and scored the first try.

Feleti is more a run straight and bust them guy, I don't think not having K Keating start the game cost us any... it's more the usual lack of alertness in defence and not playing out the whole half as a team that has us behind on the scoreboard at half time.

Let's see what we can make of it in the second half before we get the knives out

It didnt help having Piggy play 5/8 but i guess with Hagen as coach it doesnt matter who our halves are we would still find a way to lose

It's not as if any combination has any real decent form on the board this year, so nothing lost, nothing gained

Fuifui should line up at #6 next week...

It would have been a good experience for KK to start the match at 5/8 especially with no Lyon Orford and us on the attack so early...

Really??

How many of the 29 tackles that we missed were due to Hagan?

Check out the metres made by our forwards..
Lowrie - 18
Robinson - 45
Oake - 52
Hauraki - 52
Cayless - 63
Wagon - 70
MoiMoi - 111
Hindy - 115

What a load of crap....

These things are not the coaches fault, if you are a forward and you don't go forward go off to Wenty...That was the worst performance by a forward pack I have seen this year...

Bunch of soft, weak, ineffectual, pathetic excuses for first grade footballers is all they are.

I've got to say looking at the sheds at halftime told the whole story. Hasler was walking around full of energy and getting his players motivated and fired up. Hagen just stood there talking and it looked like half of our players were asleep

Just quickly who picks the team again???

Everyone Knows are forwards are playing bad but he still picks the same pack they musn't be coached to well if they turn up and perform the same crappy way..

My quote was more about the attack when we had them on the back foot in the first half again Hagen Played Piggy at 5/8..

So after 18 rounds its the coaches doing for the first 10 or sp rounds you can excuse players for playing crap and not being dropped but he is in charge....

Tank, were are the front rowers in that list of forwards?

Also, our forwards have been dishing up numbers like that quite often this season and we've seen little change in personal.

If they're not performing, shouldnt the coach accept some blame by not making changes?

exactly. Hagan picks the same players week in, week out.

how many players has he promoted from Wenty?? None!

these guys know full well that there position is safe, and the juniors know that they have no chance of getting a fair crack at playing in the top grade. hence the situation we find ourselves in right now.

We looked more dangerous with Pig at 5/8 then at ANY time with KK there. He is not ready for first grade.

It really doesn't matter is he picks the bloke who peals the oranges to play in the front row, you would hope that whoever you pick will have a f**king go...No one did..

We missed an unbelievable amount of tackles (oddly enough Manly missed more) and made bugger all metres in the pack...

That is the second time an understrength Manly team has towelled us up, once with 14 players and once with 15...

We are sh*t, the attitude is sh*t....You cannot coach attitude...

Piggy was Terrible at 5/8 he was actually playing as a lock....

KK made a nice little run in the second half with his limited touches but for some reason when piggy is more useful as a running second rower in the second half he replaced Matt Keating with piggy...

And You can Coach Attitude...

Some, yes, but this thread places the bloam solely at the feet of Hagan..

He is not the one dogging it on the field, he is not the one making 40 or 50 metres in attack, he is not the one missing all the tackles...I actually thought his game plan was solid and it worked early, shame that Riddell is not fit enough to play more minutes or we would have been more of a chance...

Hages done it for me last week when he picked Lowrie to come in for a prop...this week he leaves KK on the bench when we have some decent ball in their half......but what really gets me, is the speed off the line in defence..or lack of it. they just wait for the play to reach them....i can't remember the last time we repelled a team for a set of six, on the back of our defence.....never going to win a game defending like that.

Oake might have played front row in premier league in the past, but he isnt an NRL front rower. And Chad is no more than a stop gap prop either.

It's a coaches life. Buck stops with them. Live and die by results. It's his job to get the best out of the team.
