He has exceeded my expectations of him. A genuinely good winger.

Imagine having a winger who leaves his line, but times it to perfection to and has faith in the cover to stop the opposition in their tracks with great defense.

Imagine having a wing who is willing and capable to take the ball up by running straight and hard into the opposition forwards.

His career is really symbolic of the history of failure at this club over the last 15 years. Talented players that either

(a) Leave and prosper elsewhere

or

(b) Stay and gradually turn to mud.

There are no prizes for what Nofoaluma turned out to be. Nofo has the club try scoring record for our club.......yet is sadly not really remembered as a very good player. When you think of all-time great wingers from our club, he certainly doesn't make the top 3 or so.

In hindsight, he is a guy who should have left the club to be better. He had the tools but a bit of a talent that did not hit his potential.

Sometimes I think wingers get a bad wrap defensively when they come in off the wing, as often they are following their inside men.

Nofa played outside about a dozen centres during his time here and would always shot in off his wing, he is not one of those cases.
