im unfortunately working
will be avoiding the forums, facebook, news broadcasts until i get a chance to download it tomorrow afternoon and watch it myself
should be a corker

Game could go either way, im rooting for the packers, thinking the steelers will win though.
If the steelers win, i think Big Ben might finally get his MVP trophy. If the Packers win, im going for Clay Mathews for MVP... 2-3 sacks and a FF on big ben imo

First points - Steelers FG
First TD - Jones or Kuhn, leaning towards Jones

official kickoff is 10:29, you'd better hope the opening kickoff doesn't get taken back all the way :p

Well I just placed some bets so here's my last thoughts on the game.

Hoping John Kuhn is the first scorer in the game :)

Hoping Clay Matthews has a beasting game and wins MVP :)

I guess that also means I want the Packers to win.

I think Packers win because of Steelers offensive line being decimated by injury. And that's also the reason I see Matthews having a huge game.

This is the most evenly-matched Super Bowl coming into the game in some time.

Pittsburgh are a very solid, well-built team, and it wouldn't surprise me a whole lot if they won yet again.

But I think Green Bay will throw the ball better, cover the other team's receivers better, put more pressure on the other team's qb, and protect their own qb better. They're slightly more talented than Pittsburgh overall, and all that will add up to victory today, I think :)

Packers 24-20, Clay Matthews MVP, Andrew Quarless first TD, Packers TD first scoring play

Quick hits, if you'll indulge me:

- There is no way Flozell Adams will be able to block Clay Matthews one-on-one I think

- Bit of a secret weapon for Pittsburgh: Heath Miller. May be able to get some good matchups in the passing game.

- Big matchup: Packers WR when they spread the field v Pittsburgh's #4 corner

- Steelers have the ability to run the ball in this game, although it just got harder with the backup C having to block the in-form BJ Raji. Mendenhall must have a big game. Running the ball also works to the strengths of this somewhat depleted Steelers offensive line (Kemeoatu and Foster are two good pulling guards in the running game)

- Conversely, the Steelers cannot allow the Packers to run the ball. They're dangerous enough with their passing game: to allow them to run it as well would be too much of a luxury. Much more important for them to make GB one-dimensional than vice-versa

- Big matchup: LaMarr Woodley v Packers rookie RT Bryan Bulaga

- Wonder if Dom Capers goes a bit more aggressive with Pouncey out and tries to confuse Legursky with some different looks and overwhlem him with some A-gap blitzes?

- Troy Polamalu, not at 100%, hasn't blitzed a lot this postseason. LeBeau has mainly used him to play games in coverage. Wonder if a healthier Polamalu blitzes more today, or LeBeau continues to use him to try and confuse Rodgers?

- Green Bay's offense v the Pittsburgh defense is the glamour matchup, the but the converse matchup is a matchup of two real in-form playcallers in Bruce Arians (Steelers' offesnive co-ordinator) and Dom capers 9Packers defensive co-ordinator)

- Packers have the advantage on special teams. I wonder if that becomes a factor at some stage?
