I'm going for the Packers. I like they way they play and I don't like the Steelers, so it was an easy choice. But I'm surprised to see that they are favourites, would though Steelers would have easily been favourites.

I'm taking the day off work to watch this one. I can't wait. Although I really hope one/ten don't have those geniuss "hosting" the Super Bowl like they did last year. Not only did they just about ruin the coverage with their "insight" on the game. But they missed the onside kick to start the second half last year as they were crapping on about nothing. Dave Hughes is not and should never be an NFL analyst.

it'll be the american coverage only this year mate (see my post earlier in thread)

I wonder if I've got enough time to buy a terrible towel between now and the game

As an NFC homer I'm all aboard the Packers bandwagon. I was more confident about them winning the whole thing previous to the NFC Championship game but nevertheless I'll stick strong and go for a Packers win by a score.

Packers would have to be sentimental favourite... the QB battle is Mr All American vs Mr Octopus....

Get on the bandwagon - there is plenty of room!

GO PACK GO!

Hearing Mendenhall may get a 4-6 match suspension after some antics late in the AFC Championship game. :sarcasm:

heh. if the superbowl is anywhere near as good as the last time the steelers played the packers i'll be happy.

fun fact: i only saw the second half of that game because i was attending my first nfl game.

Maybe it's because I'm looking at it through Rugby League eyes but I don't really understand Gridiron. I guess it'd be like trying to explain Rugby League to an American. Have to record it since I'm back at work that day.

Ravens dispute Steelers' game-winning TD

Should the Pittsburgh Steelers' game-winning touchdown have counted against the Ravens in the divisional playoffs?

The Ravens say no.

According to ESPN, the Ravens submitted Pittsburgh’s game-winning touchdown (a 2-yard run by Rashard Mendenhall) from the Jan. 15 divisional round playoff game to the NFL, saying Steelers tight end David Johnson should have been flagged for a false start. If Johnson had been flagged, the touchdown wouldn't have counted and the Steelers would have been moved back to the 7-yard line.

The NFL reviewed the film and backed the officiating crew's decision not to throw the flag because Johnson’s flinch came just as the ball was being snapped.

Packers get to pick what they wear and are going with the green, not really a big deal, a little annoying.
