Another exciting round of Sl with the upset of the week being Wigan going down to lowly HFC. Cas keep up their recent good form and Wolves and HKR pick up handy wins on the road to maintain top 3 spots.

Table after this round. St's dropping, HKR adn Wolves snapping at Wigans heals, HFC effectively hand London the spoon. Great to see a real battle in the top half for a change.

How about those London Broncos getting up over Catalans? What an upset.
Great win for them. HKR take top spot in a brilliant performance against wolves. Salford keep quietly marching into that top 6.

Are Wigan and Leigh going to be able to make up their match that was cancelled? At the time I'm sure it was said it would be rescheduled. I haven't come across anything since.

Random question, for the Catalans match day 17 how many players are actually French? Or is the team made up entirely of poms and Aussies?

Dragons starting squad last weekend. Bold are French players

Catalans Dragons:
29 Sam Tompkins, 2 Tom Davies, 30 Guillermo Aispuro-Biche, 4 Matthieu Laguerre, 5 Fouad Yaha, 7 Theo Fages, 1 Arthur Morgue, 16 Romain Navarette, 14 Alrix da Costa, 10 Julien Bousquet, 15 Bayley Sironen, 12 Paul Seguier, 13 Benjamin Garcia. Replacements 17 Cesar Rouge, 23 Jordan Dezaria, 20 Tevita Satae, 33 Jarrod Wallace. 18th man: 28 Frank Maria.

So 13 of the 18 starting squad last week were French.
Of course this isnt their first choice 17 for this season, some overseas players have been sacked and some injured.

Good to see, I feel like France aren't too far off being competitive again.

They were able to hang with England for 60 minutes a few weeks back. If Toulouse get promoted it should give France enough depth that within the next decade they could give the big 3 a close game.

Catalans are a bit down this year with their ageing players and some of their imports being dckheads.
France is very competiive at U19's they just dont seem to kick on to snrs as much.
Reality is it probably needs three times the number of French players in NRL and SL for France to be able to field a competitive international side with options and depth.

Id like to see them get some games v PNG, Fiji, Cook SIlands etc to see where they are at that level.

Hull KR go back to the top after Leeds upset Wigan and the Robins comfortably beat Cas. London pushed Warrington hard and 2 close battles saw Dragons and St's take the points. HFC got hammered again in what continues to be a miserable season for them.
