Had a hilarious moment at work in the weekend. We had to cut a staff members hours due to issues with returning haircuts that we had to fix up. The dude in question penned a letter in red biro stating how he has been forced to take legal advice and earning x amount is inhumane demanding that we reinstate him to full hours. If not, he will take us to court for unfair dismissal.
With a perfectly straight face, I told him that the main premise of being unfairly dismissed is actually ...being dismissed and that the letter in question is actually blackmail. Just to get my point across, I went down the road and bought a packet of crayons and asked him to rewrite his letter and giving it a bit more thought.
Too harsh?
