Ah good old foxtel installation...

We'll be there between 8am on the 1st July 2013 and 4pm on the 1st of July 2017. We expect you to be home waiting.

I remember taking a day off in 2011 when I lived in Marrickvile. They came late, told me my house was too tall, brought out another guy later that day who disagreed with the first guy's assessment, and I never saw them again. Was the best out to a contract I didn't really want ever.

Good story. Reminds me of the time the electricity guys came to my mum and dads house. They cut the phone line, and then blamed Telstra. Telstra came out, repaired the phone line, then cut the electricity line for the entire street. They blamed Energy Australia.

I have good experiences with foxtel. Move in on the Wednesday, installed on Friday, watching footy on the Saturday. The internet though... No net for a month and a half. Painful.

Unless you're going straight through the source (Telstra), the Internet situation in Oz is a crying shame. And Telstra are rat-shit.

Called a certain electricity company to get connected.
Got a confirmation letter.
No bills for 2 years, several calls to confirm our account.
Moved out. Still no bills.
Called up to close account.
It didn't exist.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.

It was coming out quicker than it was going in. So I stopped eating.

I'm so charming :(

 Meanwhile, the guy next door is locked in a court battle about how his bill 'mysteriously' jumped by double despite there being no real change in his day to day usage :sarcasm:
