I have a splitting headache, Alba. Help me out?

In other news, I could have sworn Alba used to support another team...

I've supported Souths my whole life... Newcastle took over when Souths were out.. When they came back, I thought I was done with them... you can't stop true love though! I will always have a soft spot for Newcastle :)

 You have a go at others then go and back a ranga. Credibility 0.

Point A) My wife and son are rangas.

Point B) My wife and mother (and by extension, myself) both have Scottish heritage.

Is it any surprise I would back a red-headed Scot?

Yeah, I was a teenager and loved 1) supporting a team that actually wins games/premierships and 2) Timana Tahu. HA. I don't get how people follow teams just because they win though, there's no passion in it. Can't replace the feeling of sticking through the bad times and watching the good knowing you were loyal!

Knights fans are becoming intimately familiar with that.

Fans of every team other than Brisbane have to pass the loyalty through shit times test. Even the cheats had a lean period following their first Premiership, until Bellamy stepped in. Brisbane have only once finished lower than 8th in 25 seasons. They'll probably arse their way into 7th or 8th this year because there are so many other shit teams (and the Cowboys are fighting tooth and nail to be the worst team in Queensland when they should be the best).

Yeah if it happened now, there's no way. But I was a teenager and I didn't know life without football! My dad wouldn't let me watch any games, so I would have to go to friends houses just to watch for those two years and he was even more disgusted that I supported another team. Actually, I am disgusted as well! But, you tell the 15yo me that she can't support Timana Tahu ;)

It's alright. We all have our secret shame. Mine was that I actually contemplated switching to another sport. Even tried watching AFL and Rugby. Thankfully, both are shit so I ended up back following league.

They were dark days indeed.
