They've been all downhill since then. I remember shelling out $99 for Wrestlemania 2000. Massive disappointment.

I liked No Mercy, but didnt enjoy 2000 much. Never played any WCW or Virtua Pro Wrestling ones, so can't judge the rest of them.

I meant wrestling games in general had declined - not any specific developer.

WCW/nWo World Tour was crap. Most matches for me ended in KO, and most wrestlers finishers didn't resemble real life.

It has heaps of little nods to the book, I think of it as a different story set in the same universe.

If you don't go in expecting the world it's a solid, passable action film.
