I hate it though. I always have such high hopes for the night and I always have a shit time. Except for last year. Last year I had no plans till about 7pm. Had a great night.

Just don't get your hopes up tbh, and smaller is generally better. Was doing nothing last year until a mate rocked up with a bottle of vodka... ended up on the esplanade watching fireworks beside a good 8.5-9.
