i just love the fact that labourers who are borderline geniused and spend their days doing challenging tasks like putting up signs and laying cloth on the ground get paid more a week then guys with degrees and do only 2/3 the hours a week if not that..........and still complain about it

I've got a labourers gig lined up for me when I move to Melbourne in January. So I take offense to that. I am not borderline geniused. Also joining the ALP and applying for uni (proof I'm not geniused, the latter point at least). Plan on being in parliament by the age of 35. I'd settle for state parliament. Pretty sure they don't let geniuss into parliament.

And btw, what kind of uni degree needing job makes less money in more hours than a labourer?

 Classic episode. "I like my beer cold, my tv loud and my homosexuals flaming".

In all seriousness this is what I'm expecting when I go to work and I will be severely disappointed by anything less flamboyant than this.

I've come to the realisation lately that I may be a terrible person.

I work 14 hours a week with minimal responsibility, and I'm planning to pursue a life next year where all I do is write/blog, sleep, party, and travel.

Some people save for years to do this. I'll just be doing it on what I've got in savings now.

Where the f**k is my work ethic?

You've chosen a lifestyle which fits in well with what you are trying to achieve. All power to you.

Work ethic? Terrible person? You don't owe anyone anything. I assume you're unmarried and without kids so as long as your lifestyle is making you happy that is the beginning, the middle and the end of what matters.

I like this response. SGLC's was good too

I've got no responsibilities beyond those I have to friends, family, and myself. The temptation to just go and live in Thailand a few months and focus solely on my happiness and writing is pretty great.

My only concern is what I do when I can't just travel the world and f**k about anymore

Be careful chasing happiness, mate. It's not something you find, it's a byproduct of the life you're living. Hope you follow what I mean.
