here's a pic of the size of the bushfire near my parents place over a week ago, which was attended by 140 volunteers and about 40 paid firefighters

that forest its burning in there had 6 houses in it.

5 of them were saved and completely untouched by that fire. 1 was destroyed.

Media only spoke about the 1 destroyed.

Do you remember when the cyclone a few years ago was about to hit Qld? The media went into a tailspin about the potential destruction. I think I actually saw some journo's salivating at the 'reporting' potential. When it fizzled, you never heard a peep.

The media has turned making money out of peoples disasters into an art form.
