This is very true. Girls you meet in a night club (as butch suggests) are rarely any good for anything other than f**king.

You're not going to meet a potential romantic partner drunkenly grinding in a dingy night club, nor is 'Desperate desire not to be alone' a point of commonality that is a good foundation to build upon.

I met my wife in a dingy night club many years ago, turns out she is a rare breed of female who isn't a complete mental case.

I totes recommend picking up drunk s**ts at clubs and see if anything develops.. Don't bother learning their name until you're sure there's something there. You don't want to get too attached

I feel terrible saying this, but I'm going to anyway.

I really, really appreciate that I've touched so many lives here and made so many friends. I love that so many of them suddenly want to spend time with me this week before I leave.

But is it wrong that I'd really rather just sleep in, pack, play video games, and relax?

Not at all, I felt the same before departing for the States. I even told you that.

I wanted to relax, chill and sleep in my last few days in Sydney. Instead, I was helping the old man at work, catching-up with 1000 people and more.

That's exactly why I prefer to be a merkin, you get to control who is in your life at any time and limit such ridiculousness when you leave a place.

Minimal fuss and do as you please (except when directed otherwise by my beautiful wife of course).

Nope, sounds fairly natural. Moving is stressful. Last thing you want on stress is high energy shit. Still, power through, you'll regret not doing that if you sit at home.

Yeah, that's been my main motivation with accepting the many 'let's do lunch/dinner/drinks' requests. As much as I'd rather sit here in my underwear playing Civ, it just makes sense to enjoy it while I can.

I've known one or two others who met in a club, but if you're not a club person or you're looking for romance, then you're not likely to find the girl for you there.

I've enjoyed being a social co-ordinator and generally well liked guy here, but there are times when I really just want to ignore the texts and shit. Just spend a weekend without dealing with peeps.
