f**king casual didn't show up for shift. Wound up working 830 this morning to 930 tonight. Then, for some stupid reason, went to the gym. Can't move, send halp

13 hours is a standard day for me, no breaks.

why would anyone want to move to Melbourne

The greatest city on earth.

http://www.smh.com.au/travel/travel...most-liveable-city--again-20130828-2sprk.html

But seriously, I currently live in this stinkhole of a regional town. I want to spend at least the bulk of my adult life in a major Australian city. That's Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane...barely.

Brisbane is too hot, and in Queensland, and Campbell Newman. So it's down to Sydney and Melbourne. Cost of living, public transport, weather (yes colder and wetter is a positive in my books, I like rain), restaurants, cafes, sporting stadiums, Australian open, F1 are all factors that make Melbourne the winner of the prize that is being my home for the long term future.

And I reckon within a year I could be opening the batting for Victoria in the shield, they're that shit.

Who were the ones who took that survey? Also, who wrote that article? I counted 3 other cities!

Melbourne has been crowned the globe’s most liveable city for the third time in a row, nudging out Austrian capital Vienna in The Economist Intelligence Unit Survey.

In the review of 140 cities, Victoria’s capital was given perfect scores for health care, education and infrastructure.
Meanwhile four other Australian cities made this year’s top 10, including Adelaide (number 5), Sydney (number 7) and Perth (number 9).

I count 3 other cities!

TOP 10
Melbourne, Australia
Vienna, Austria
Vancouver, Canada
Toronto, Canada
Calgary, Canada
Adelaide, Australia
Sydney, Australia
Helsinki, Finland
Perth, Australia
Auckland, New Zealand

I've been to 7 of those cities. The ones I've missed are the three in Canada. If I had to rank the 7 I've seen, Melbourne would be 6th and Adelaide 7th. If I had to rank a top 10 of the cities I've seen, Melbourne, Adelaide and Auckland wouldn't be anywhere near it.

I'd even rank Brisbane higher than those 3 in terms of liveability.

Stockholm should definitely be on that list and probably even Gothenburg. I reckon Wellington is the most liveable city in NZ. The only drawback there is the weather.

I think the survey's are too subjective. What one likes in a city another dislikes. It should be ranked more on the infrastructure and design, IMHO - at least thats fairly objective.

Er, Drew. That study BM linked actually was done in a objective sense based on infrastructure, services and such.

What's going on with Krisnan Inu?

he's heading over to bondi to grab some lunch with friends, and is then planning on stopping by annandale on the way back through for a coffee, before heading back over towards the club for a late afternoon training.

afterwards i believe he is playing xbox in his loungeroom.
