Melbourne is like a shittier, washed down overpriced version of a touristy European city (without the tourists) with an unsavoury obsession with an exceedingly homosexual 'sport.'

Once you've lived abroad you realise how insignificant Sydneys 'problems' are and just how amazing a place it is.

Melbourne is shit and every bit as expensive as Sydney
The cost of living is estimated to be between 10-15% less. Your dollar goes significantly further everywhere else in Australia, including Melbourne.
Come on BM. What is the most supported football team in Melbourne? What are their fans generally known as?
Good point, but they're the exception. Collingwood fans are the philosophical cousins of the typical Sydneysider.
Lakemba is Sydney's only saving grace
dl knows.
the most supported football team in melbourne are called the storm..

their fans are referred to as the thunderstruck squad..
Yeah...na. Even Melbourne Victory is bigger than the Storm. Half the Storm's members are bandwagoning Queenslanders. Let's see their crowd number in 2 years time when the Storm is paying 2 million bucks a year to three 33 year olds.

Yeah...na
A CBD squeezed into one corner of the city. Ditto for the airport. Arterial roads going in all sorts of illogical directions. A sorry excuse for a public transport "system". Plenty of problems. Cost of living worse than Manhattan.

you do realise i was making the point that NRL is the true football, had nothing to do with comparing the codes...

btw - in relation to the other thing puzzling you, it was because the chicken was standing on one side of the road and he needed to get to the other one..

BM apparently doesn't realise Sydney isn't even the most expensive city in Australia and hasn't been for about two years

Perth doesn't count. Hot, dry shithole in the middle of the desert. The East coast is the only part of Oz that counts.

Even Hobart is better than Perth and Adelaide and Darwin.

I'll confirm (or deny) that sentiment after living in America for a year.

I much prefer to visit Melbourne than Sydney

It has a much nicer vibe, is easier to get around and feels much more relaxed than Sydney

I'm a big fan of the Darling Harbour area of Sydney, rest of it is pretty eh with a few decent pubs thrown in.

Melbourne was awesome to visit, not sure if i'd feel the same way if I lived there.

Only good thing I found about Melbourne when I would go there for work was the Hume FWY northbound. Generally stop at the Shell servo and hungry Jacks at Bunker Hill
