Re that Metallica vid (and them in general these days).

They're still good live, I saw em in 2010 or so, whenever they toured their own shows last. But I think a fair bit of effort goes into masking a bit how much James Hetfields voice has declined - which is you know, understandable.

Cricket presentation night. They were the guests. Good blokes. They were pretty restrained they're funny as hell tbh and tell some great stories. And Boony somehow remembered my mum, who went to nursing college with his wife, so we had a good old chat. They both donated their appearance fee to Beyond Blue as well as bringing some merchandise to auction which all went to beyond blue as well so that was nice.

My greatest achievement in life. El presidente apparently talked us up to Merv in regards to how we won the final. At some stage during the night we went up to do the starstruck fan thing and grab a pic and the big fella goes "hey Boonie these are those blokes who won the unwinnable final, rolled for 120 and a man short and the legendary captain courageous over here defended it!" Life. Made. :lol:
