On the claiming stuff.

Was at lunch yesterday. We often get visitors from our overseas suppliers (Clovis Taittinger, for instance) who come out to see how we're going. One of our contacts for them took them to the strippers and claimed it all back on expenses through the business.

The business signed off on it, citing it as a legitimate 'entertainment' expense.

A friend then one upped that by saying Citibank (I think it was) has a person who entertains clients and recently spent $6k on strippers.

I was a little horrified, if I must say.

That is f**ked up. I got no idea how people can get away with that shit.

Common practice, really. A company I know through work (Won't say names) spends thousands upon thousands hosting parties with no expenses bared. Strippers, alcohol, food, 5 star hotels and more. It's all about making the client feel worthwhile and also allowing a connection on a less-professional level. Same goes for treating a supplier right.

Ever heard of T&E?

I know it happens, I just didn't think we did it.

I also don't know how it makes the client feel 'worthwhile'.

I like women, but I prefer the one I married.
