Thing is, it's never going to change, and it's hopelessly naive to even hope that it will. We've always been a shallow people, it's just that the standard of what is attractive has changed. It will change again in the future.

Agree.

I've got no people with people doing whatever they can to feel better about themselves. If there was a surgery as simple as a boob job that I could get to feel better about my physical appearance, I'd have done it years ago.

And again that's where my issue is. I think you look fine Bushy. Handsome is a term I'd use ;-)

... don't get any ideas :sarcasm:

Honestly? I'm the same with my beard. I can grow one, and it makes me look better.

But if I couldn't grow one, then I wouldn't get surgery to allow for that.

I think my point is there is no need for surgical enhancement; your natural self is good, proper and attractive.

What if you looked f**king awful with or without the beard and it was negatively impacting on your ability to be happy? You struggle at work because you're timid and shy, and you can't find somebody to provide you with the external validation you feel you need because you're both not attractive by current standards and your own self doubt means you don't have the winning personality to compensate?

I get that your problem isn't with the people getting surgery, but with society. I just don't have a problem with 'self improvement' that can't be done solely by the individual.

It's not radical Drew. Point is, I'm not just speaking on the breast surgery part. I'm talking about plastic surgery, augmentation in general.

I see your point in regards to men/society - but again, that works both ways. You can't tell me girls don't look for certain looks/images for guys. I'm speaking on a body point side of things - If someone is truly unhappy with X body part for their own reasons, they should be allowed to.

See, this is the point where it works both ways (Sorry to point you out, Dani). But people want all kinds of surgery - not just enchantments. My Aunty got reduction done. She was a big lady.

.

Breast enchantment. This is getting weird now.

It takes all sorts. Rhino clearly loves giant flappy baps, others go for quality over quantity.

People are free to do what they want, but there are limits. People under 20 doing it for cosmetic reasons are perhaps not really completely aware of the effects their decisions will have.

Ignore my simple mistake, overly tired. Been studying all week + at the gym four days straight.

I gotta say, red hair jokes got pretty f**king old at a certain point (despite efforts to embrace the laughs), while there confidence was somewhat low.

Not much better these days confidence wise all the time, but people stopped giving a f**k about the hair quite a while back so I don't really give a shit anymore.

So... he had massive boobs?

Need more info bro. But I suspect he fits into the 'exceptions' category by what you're describing.

Pretty much. He had bad gynaecomastia from what i've been told. But it wasn't bad healthwise, it was just a man with boobs. Should he have kept them?
