geez travelling can have its downsides..

nothing like getting in a good workout at the hotel gym, to only find you forgot your deodorant..

and then to turn on the shower in your room to get that unmistakable smell of hot water and urine, realising that your shower clearly hadn't been cleaned after the last person stayed there..

so, i head out for the night, smelling like a combination of armpit and shower urine, only to realise its about 5 degrees...

and i forgot my jacket.........

Go to the lark distillery.

I've got three dates this week

Kenya
Michigan
New Jersey

Kenya I've made out with drunk a few times. She's cute and well to do, but not super into her.

Michigan, after weeks of giving me the cold shoulder, booty called me on Monday night.

New Jersey is new. After texting back and forth a while with no real purpose, she told me I could 'take her out for ice cream this Friday'.

So, that's happening.

Take her out for ice cream?!

Jersey. Urgh.

Also, wtf is Michigans deal?!

My degree is depressing me big time, making me hate life even more than usual.

Do not think I'll last through it. Probably going to try and see the Uni counsellor next week.

Hannibal completed, commence the following tomorrow night

I've just started Hannibal and I'm liking it so far.

The Following was so promising, but by the end of the first season I got sick of seeing Kevin Bacon dominate the world.

Jersey. Urgh.

Jersey is an odd one, as she still technically has a (Chinese) boyfriend. That doesn't really count.

As for Michigan, who knows? I went from meeting her friends, being told not to hurt her, and the like to two months of the cold shoulder while she 'figured things out'.

While drunk she explained she likes me but is afraid of committing to somebody new. She dated her last guy since she was 15.

I'm not dwelling on it. Plenty more fish and all that.

What do you study? And is it the degree itself or the future or are you just over it in general?

B. Information Technology, major in software development.

All of the above, actually. I am basically doing this degree so I can get a job and support myself, but I feel very much like I'm just doing it so I can feel like I'm progressing towards something.

I chose B.IT because I figured it's something I'd be good at it, having spent a lot of time on computers. However as I alluded to it's not something I actually want to do. In fact it's probably the exact opposite of what I want to do ironically, I have big hang-ups about spending the rest of my life in front of a computer in general; I have honestly already done enough of that for several lifetimes and I'm only 23, and it's already a constant source of regret in my life.

It probably hit me hard today as I spent over 6 hours trying to do part of this programming assignment and by the end I just felt like I had wasted an entire day doing something I didn't even enjoy and could not see me doing for 6 hours a day every day.

To compound the problem, I already have a degree. I spent 2009 - 2012 at University completing a B. Mathematics. It didn't really work out, I couldn't find a job for it so I ended up going back this year for reasons stated above. So going through all this rubbish again is fairly depressing and makes it all feel like an even bigger depressing waste of time.

The problems go deeper than all that though on a personal level unfortunately which is probably the catalyst for the current misery. Le sigh.

Hang in there Apey. Avoid my mistake of constantly changing my mind and never finishing anything and then family getting in the road leaving me essentially unqualified with a huge HECS debt. Get your degree, work for a few years and earn some good money, and use that to springboard into something you'd rather do.

Note that anyone who takes my advice probably deserves the outcome. ;-)

agree with Jason there apey.. Stick with it and just get it done..

hell, i think i actually worked in my degree related field for 6 months before realising i hated the industry and found myself something different..

and I'm pretty happy with how I've ended up.. And am doing a lot better than if I'd stayed with my degree..

Counsellor is a good idea. I'd encourage you to understand what you really want to do first and work out if there's a viable job should you get the degree. Work from there first. Then, if needed, change. You've only just started, so the chances to change are easier than later.

Its tough though mate. FB me if you need to chat.

This is worse than your Rick rolls. I'm actually Googling the songs you are talking about in some strange need to know what is going on in your head

Here I was thinking that you would've paid your way through a nice private institution.

Can you people work out what this is? At first glance, I thought it was a train map for some foreign city sponsored by every car company on the planet, but on closer inspection, it's actually a business directory the says which company owns which other car company.

Interesting...

f**k them all. Don't pay rego or insurance, don't follow row rules.

THey can all drown in a bath of acid.
I'm sure most of them have a car and do pay insurance, rego AND fuel. Nothing wrong with exercise. But they are a pain in the arse when they ride slow on the city streets taking up a whole lane. I'll give you that.

Are you guys ready for the future?

But as long as Tony Abbott is f**king up our beautiful nation, this won't be possible...
