well for one, footballness..
don't need to.
even removing st george from the equation, wollongong and newcastle are one genuine premiership apiece..
When did Illawarra win a premiership? Ones won with St George doing the heavy lifting do not count.
It's a more aesthetically pleasing place, for one. Northern suburbs especially.
It's got mountains/the bush/national park at doorstep. I can walk up my street and im in the bush. 10 minutes from rock climbing spot. Bushwalk in the morning then straight to the beach is pretty great.
The cbd itself is pretty shit. No doubt. Although it's weirdly improved in the last year or so as a bunch of cool bars have popped up. But the centre of wollongong is pretty crap. And the less said about much of the south the better.
Living in the general northern region of Wollongong, however, is fantastic.
It's also much closer to Sydney, which allows the best of both worlds. Easy to get to sydney should something good be on up there. Doesn't have the traffic or any of that bullshit that goes with living in Sydney.
Bunniesman lives at Coogee. Which part of Coffs Harbour is that in?

Don't you mean Queensland?bowraville
Shut the f**k Up!
:lol:How well do you know Newie, though? The Lake Macquarie area is absolutely gorgeous, and you've got infinitely better beaches in Newcastle.
The CBD isn't Sydney level, but from the sounds of it, it's probably ahead of Wollongong's.
You've got your dodgy suburbs, but the beauty of the place is you don't need to go to Sydney to get what you need. For the most part, it's all available in Newcastle.
