Poor Burgess.

He goes from winning a premiership in front of 84,000 people to playing club rugby in front of 15,000 people in Bath.

I don't think Sam Burgess was the best on the park at all. He was bloody brave to play on with that injury, but I thought he was outshone by several of his own teammates - George Burgess, in particular.

Pros : alba and DKOR happy , Timmah miserable.

Also Thorson getting his multi. Damn me for only putting $5 on instead of the whole $15 I had in my account.

4 nations still to come. And have my tickets for the game against Samoa in Wollongong.

Will be my boys first test match

Trying to convince my brother that he'd love to spend his 27th birthday in Brisbane so we can go to the double header, but I think he has his heart set on Coffs.

Last night, we were all watching the college football game at a friends house. We cheered so loudly when we won with 0:04 seconds left on the clock the neighbour called the police on us. What a bitch.

Souths win moves us up to third in the premiership drought table. Only the sharks and parra in front of us.

With Sir Ricky Supercoach at the wheel of the grade machine we're certainties to move higher up.

2014 will go down as one of the worst years for me, sport wise..

- the dragons had an awful season full of turmoil and frustration
- qld lost the state of origin
- my most hated team won the comp
- my team i play for and captain finished dead last with only 2 wins
- my AFL team is a shambles & nearly got the spoon

could have only been worse if the dragons got the spoon...

only bright side was my touch team made the grand final.

but we lost that too.

bring on 2015...

Sam Burgess was not the only grand finalist with a heroic tale to tell on Sunday, with Canterbury five-eighth Josh Reynolds revealing he played most of the NRL decider with a busted shoulder.

An emotional Reynolds was confined to a sling post-match and said he was fearing the worst after feeling his shoulder pop out early in the contest.

The Bulldogs' star will seek scans on Monday but it would appear he is headed for off-season surgery on his left shoulder.

It has been a roller coaster ride for Reynolds this season after he was part of New South Wales's historic State of Origin triumph, and the 25-year-old made it clear he did not want any sympathy.

"I don't want to sound like a sob story but I did it pretty early," Reynolds said.

"I felt it before (on the right) side and fingers crossed it's not as bad.

"It's probably not good. I'm trying to be positive but I probably wouldn't have this (sling) on.

"I think it might have popped out. I felt it, and I've done it before so I think it was close to that.

"But there was no excuse. I don't want anyone to think this was anything because I'd go through that for these boys any day of the week."

A few years ago I had to go to the big tax office in Albury to get my tax sorted out. The accountant who assisted me was a great bloke, very friendly and professional. He drank coffee out of a cup with a rabbitoh on it and when I asked how long he had supported souths he said '37 long years, my Dad supported them too, he died in 2001 when we were kicked out'. It was a touching story and I felt for the guy and today I hope he has a good day.

He was also one of those Rabbitohs fans that went on and on about souths colours not being red and green but cardinal and myrtle, 'it's cardinal and myrtle, cardinal and myrtle' he wasn't the first or last souths fans who went on and on about this but he was the politest. Funny that because in their team song there is no mention of cardinal and myrtle there is only RED and GREEN.
