The NRL purchase 17 for the day but the club itself has an option to purchase more direct from the jeweller. You can bet that Souths will pick one up for Isaac Luke. Same as the Dogs will get one for Ennis should he not play.

The issue is in the RLW article, Canterbury are saying that they will buy Ennis one if they win, but there are no quotes from Souths, only the NRL saying that Luke isn't entitled to receive one at full time as he isn't in the 17.I would assume Souths will buy him one too, but nothing like a good bit of click bait in the lead-up to the Grand Final.

One of the main posters there is forever "writing" songs about South's and by writing, I mean taking popular songs and changing the lyrics to be South's specific.

After reading my second or third one of those, I couldn't take that place anymore.

If you write something remotely negative about Souths in that forum, some of the other posters will try to track you down and kill you. I once mentioned that Joe Williams couldn't tackle in there and I was getting nasty PM's for weeks.

The New Deal is precisely what FDR did wrong. It turned the 1929 recession (the result of previous stupidity, namely massive credit expansion during the 1920s) into the Great Depression, which lasted a decade. You cannot cheat economic reality with government intervention. You can only hide it, and thus sow the seeds for future disaster.

Sigh. I often forget I'm talking to a libertarian. The great depression was the great depression before FDR came along. The New Deal saved people from starvation. Government policy shouldn't just be about getting a balance sheet right. Otherwise f**k democracy and just have a council of accountants managing the country.

Helping people matters. And in that crisis quality of life would have been much worse if FDR didn't act. I know right wingers hate to hear that but it's the truth.

It is difficult to prove a negative. To prove what you stopped from happening. But it's true.

On a more important note, plenty of butt hurt Souths fans on FB whinging that Isaac Luke won't get a premiership ring if they win on Sunday. The fact that it is only given to people who play isn't an excuse apparently.

Clearly a long standing tradition created years ago to f**k us up this week.

We have much more quality than they have but that means nothing in grand finals. I don't think we're certainties. If I was a purely rational punter I'd be putting money on the Dogs at $3.00. I think those are silly odds.
