I figure I'll get my uni readings done and listen to some baseball, because I wont be up to much else.

Someone at work said similar. "Just make sure you get painkillers before the pain hits, that pain jut is not worth it"

yep.. most tablet based painkillers take 20-60 mins to start working...

that is a LONG time when you have dental pain...

obviously get proper medical advice (and decent painkillers), but i found a steady rotation of paracetamol, ibuprofen and voltaren helped..

I had all four wisdom teeth out under general anaesthetic. It wasn't too bad really.

I iced them very heavily for a couple of days, that helped quite a bit with swelling for me.

The worst part of it all was after a couple of weeks I was feeling back to normal and the antibiotics and pain meds were a week or so behind me.

I had 3 beers and was very ill.

I got all four of mine removed at once too. It was done under general anesthetic, and then I spent about a week high on codeine while my mother kept me fed with a variety of different foods. It wasn't bad except on pizza night.

Pizza night made me cry.

Weird thing happened (I think), so some new starter chick just walked past me in the hallway and as soon as she saw me, a great big smile appeared on her face and she said how good it was to see me again. I spoke to her as if she was someone I knew... but I had no idea who the hell she was or what team she works in so I don't know how to go to ask who the hell she is.

Nice chick though... nice tanned skin, silky black hair, has a touch of that sexy English accent on her tone too.
