No its not Baz, their extinct species is three times that of the country with the second most extinct species.

They hunted them into extinction.

North America was decimated in the Holocene extinction and lost almost half its major.macropod species before guns were even an issue....you're using a statistic to create a point that doesn't exist. The North American continent has undergone greater climactic and habitat change than anywhere else on earth.
