Indonesia was fun. Press trips aren't the best way to get a real feel for a country, but I thoroughly enjoyed our live aboard time in the Komodo Islands. A few days of snorkelling, sleeping on the deck (although we had nice rooms), drinking Bintang, and chasing giant lizards around was definitely a 2015 highlight.

Didn't really get a great chance to see what the Bali hype is about, but got some beach time on Lombok.

Definitely a country I'll need to revisit and explore at my own pace.

There's a shedload to see there and one of the great things is that besides Bali it's relatively untouched by mass tourism. Plus, Beer is back in the minimarkets so that's a win win!

Because they want to try and manage it with something both mild and easily available before they get in to (or keep you on for long) the serious, addictive and potentially harmful pain meds. Also because it's cheap and effective. You are not supposed to have zero pain. Just manageable pain. Otherwise it's easy to forget that you can't do certain things

Was pleasantly surprised by Bintang. It's not something I'd go out of my way to drink at home, but it wasn't the worst local beer I've had.
