My dad works with security cameras and circuits. Navy is looking for a marine electrician/engineer as a priority job last I looked. Maybe I should apply for that also as well as a cook/writer. It's in my blood. (Dad was a marine civilian engineer when he was in the Phillipines) Should get in on that Monk. See the world and fire off a few rounds to kiick off your bucket list.

Uni is just isn't interesting me anymore though tbh. I have no motivation to study and I just want to get a job and have money. I'm struggling at uni because I have no motivation to study and I just wonder if it's what I should be doing. I'm doing electrial engineering at uni aswell, so it's not like i'd be going into a completely unrelated industry.

I'm the same, except I have less than 3 weeks of my degree left (assuming I pass my remaining subjects). I don't think I've learnt the content as well as I should have (despite maintaining decent grades) due to lack of interest/motivation. No idea what I'm going to do next year. I would actually like to work in IT except that I'm not sure if I'd ever see the sun again...

Also, Banjo Kazooie is easily in my top 10 fav games...

I'm pretty sure to be a sparkie in the RAAF, you have to be trade qualified already before joining. A lot of the non aviation trades like that,they got rid of a few years ago and now that they realise you can't always deploy a civvy or contract shit out, they want them again but require tickets (they can't be f**ked training you for a year in Albury and then 3 years of doing a skills log before you are up to scratch.
