Exactly SGL. Xavier Doherty, the guy who said his first class form doesn't matter (with regards to selecting him for India) because his first class form has apparently been great was left out of the side. Faulkner will make his debut. I'm on my phone, I posted the Australian team list in the cricket section this morning. I actually posted that from my phone too but I can't be bothered doing that again

Need someone to help me feed John Inverarity through a wood chipper.

Any volunteers?

If selectors went on 1st Class form half the muppets wouldn't be in the green + gold.

I called my masters supervisor to let him know that I will be late to our meeting (I was at the gime this morning and missed the train I needed to take). He was cool with it but said he was going to give me work. What could that possibly mean?
This is a research masters (mphil) so there is no coursework

Ooh ooh, PICK ME!

I'm really just after a fall guy. Somebody to do the time for my crime. However considering the target subject you could end up being hailed a savior, so its 50/50

I'm rather impressed by our touring squad for India. Indians won't know what hit them.

The indians will probably be wondering when we name our main squad to accompany the already named B squad.

which score is hughes up to in his rotation? rubbish single digit, promising quick 30 odd or century?

single digit

from memory his ODI career has gone 100+, 3, 3, 1, 100+

2 games left before he gets 'rotated' so i'm thinking a 3 and a 1

Yeah it's really good to see Steve Smith and Xavier Doherty rewarded for all their great performances in the... in the ahhh... It's just really good to see them back! And Moises Henriques, about f**kin time!

Steve Smith, Moises Henriques and Glen Maxwell are all handy batsmen and bowl some handy part timers.

John Inverarity likes his players to be quite handy

To be fair, Moises has really matured over the past two Shield seasons. This season he's NSW leading run scorer @ 77 and bowling at 18. Would definitely take him over Sunshine at the moment. (for Indian conditions - wouldn't start either in England)

Moises. Jackson. Mitchell.

Back in my day you didn't get a start in the Australian cricket team if your name wasn't Bruce, David or Allan and you couldn't grow a full blown moustache in less than 3 hours.

Yeah Moises has been in gun form, deserves his spot. Not sure what SOK ever did wrong, though
