Problem is the squad needs another specialist batsmen. Either Smith or Henriques should have made way for Doolan who has been in better form than both.

Inverarity will not rest. His job is not done until the Australian test side has 11 handy all rounders

Wrong. Maxwell should have made way for Doolan. This is India, cricket is different. From that squad the best team we can put on the park is -

1. Warner 2. Cowan 3. Hughes 4. Khawaja 5. Clarke 6. Wade 7. Henriques 8. Smith 9. Siddle 10. Pattinson 11. Lyon*

Need the quick and bowling all rounder since we are set on batting Wade at 6.

A few Smith/Warner/Clarke overs is still better than Maxwell.

Plus, India are a little bit derp atm, fifth bowler won't be as significant as past tours.

Smith>>>>>Maxwell. SOK is the best spinner in Aus though, travesty he's not there. Only spinner with an FC average under 30 and his batting average is about or above that too

Yeah Smith > Big Show (and I dont rate Smith highly)

But, he has scored runs in Shield, top scored for Aus in the last test he played too. When we got toweled up by an Innings and a million by Jimmy Anderson and co. Hate the dude, but can see him doing very well in the lower order in Indian conditions.
